How This Mode Works
Before each round, the game selects a target from 2.00 to 15.00 seconds in 0.10-second increments. You see the target, then press START to hide the timer and estimate when that interval has passed. Use Regenerate to choose a fresh target before starting.
How Random Timer Targets Work
Random Timer Challenge gives you a target in a broad 2.00–15.00 second range. The target is selected in 0.10-second increments before you start, so a round might ask for 2.40 seconds, 8.70 seconds, or 14.90 seconds. Once START is pressed, the display is hidden and the selected interval remains unchanged until you stop. Regenerate lets you replace the target while the round is idle.
The changing range is what makes this mode demanding. In a fixed challenge, your brain can settle into one familiar cadence. Here, a short target may reward a compact beat while a longer one needs patience, and you have to switch between those approaches without seeing the clock. Distractions, anticipation, and a drifting count can all pull a stop early or late. Treat each result as feedback about your current estimate rather than proof of a permanent skill level.
For a useful session, play five rounds without changing your setup, then look for patterns in the deltas. Are short targets consistently late? Do long targets invite rushing? Adjust one cue—breathing, counting, or posture—on the next set. Touch controls make this easy on mobile, while desktop players can use Space. Device and input latency still affect close results, so compare like with like.
